Symptoms and Diagnosis
of PCOS
PCOS has a higher prevalence than you might think. Although it manifests differently for each patient, they usually complain of symptoms like irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, or breakthrough bleeding.
Many people say, "I haven't had a period for months, so I got tested and it's PCOS," but conversely, others complain, "I got tested because I had severe breakthrough bleeding." Beyond these menstruation-related symptoms, it can also be accompanied by systemic symptoms such as obesity, hirsutism, acne, and hair loss.
