Is Yakchim
a Painkiller?

Hello. I am Hong Ji-yeon, the director of Yon Clinic.

Today, I would like to talk about Yakchim (Pharmacopuncture). During my consultations, some patients often ask, "Is Yakchim a painkiller?" or "Is it a pain injection?" ^^

I prepared this post because I felt it was necessary to clarify this. To start with the conclusion: Yakchim is not a common painkiller!

What is the difference between
painkillers and Yakchim?

Painkillers mask the pain.
Pain is the brain's detection of inflammation in the body. When inflammatory signals are transmitted to the brain, they pass through several substances, the key one being 'prostaglandin (PG).' Common painkillers like aspirin or acetaminophen are therapeutic agents designed to inhibit the synthesis of this substance, thereby preventing the brain from perceiving pain.

In contrast, Yakchim removes the fundamental cause of pain.
The raw material for Yakchim is distilled and refined 'herbal medicine.' This treatment method involves injecting the medicine directly into important acupoints or areas that are the source of the pain. In other words, its main purpose is not mere pain relief, but fundamentally removing the root cause of the pain.

Types of Yakchim

Tailored Yakchim
prescriptions for
symptoms and causes

Just as there are various types of herbal medicine,
Yakchim is also tailored according to
the patient's condition and cause.

Various types of Yakchim
Bruises · Sprains

Jung-Seong Ahyul Yakchim

Contains herbal ingredients that resolve 'blood stasis' (Ahyul) caused by trauma. Injecting it directly into the painful area or related acupoints provides rapid blood stasis removal and relieves symptoms by eliminating the cause of pain.

Chronic Pain · Deficiency

Nutritional Supplement Yakchim

Replenishes nutrients in areas weakened (deficiency syndrome) by frequent pain, such as chronic arthritis or muscle aches. By strongly nourishing the weakened areas, it reduces the fundamental source of pain.

Women's Health · Vitality Recovery

Jahageo (Placenta) Yakchim

Essential for women's health issues such as menstrual disorders and infertility. Additionally, you can experience secondary benefits like a vitality boost, improved skin texture, and a brighter complexion.

Director's Philosophy

Verified Tailored Selection

At Yon Clinic, we select only those Yakchims that have been tested on our patients and ourselves and have proven effective. I never perform a treatment that I have not personally received.

"I find great reward in seeing patients who suffered from pain for years heal through Yakchim and acupuncture, and watching those who once used a cane walk in on their own.

Do not endure the pain. The longer it lasts, the harder it becomes to treat.
Yon Clinic will be right by your side to provide reliable care."
