May at the Clinic,
Welcoming a Hopeful Summer

Hello, this is Dr. Hong Ji-yeon of Yon Oriental Medicine Clinic.
I'm back to my daily routine after quite a long while. There are still many herbal medicine prescriptions to post, but since June has already begun, I wanted to wrap up the short spring by summarizing our daily life in May. ^^

First, we held a scratch card event in May. It was a first-come, first-served event open to everyone, and it was so popular that it ended in less than a week. I've saved some photos of the 1st place winner and two 2nd place winners here. The response was so good that I'm thinking of doing it again. Events are quite addictive, I suppose.

Custom Prescriptions and New Herbal Sachets Filled with Care

Yon Oriental Medicine Clinic is known for its #HerbalMedicine, right? Haha. When prescribing herbal medicine to many of you, I identify your health status through basic pulse diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, abdominal examination, and consultation. I tend to have quite long consultation times because I listen closely to our patients and try to explain their current status and treatment plans in as much detail as possible.

Since we have many prescriptions for children as well as moms and dads, we've stocked up on many new herbal sachets and medicine boxes. When we provide medicine in cute sachets that suit children's tastes, they are much less resistant to taking their herbal medicine. I also changed the pouches for adults, and I spent time carefully selecting ones that I thought you would like best.

Diet Success Story (8.2kg of Body Fat Lost!)

Those on a diet are seeing great results! I am just so grateful that you've been working hard with me, and you need to keep it up to prevent the yo-yo effect. I'd like to share the InBody results of a patient who came in today.

InBody Results

It's been a little over a month since the patient started the diet. I was worried because when they first started, their obesity index was high and they didn't have the type of body that loses weight easily, but they achieved great results by combining exercise with dietary control.

8.2kg of body fat was lost, and even their body fat percentage, which is usually hard to reduce, dropped into the standard range (a 11.8% decrease!). On the other hand, their skeletal muscle mass increased by 1.8kg. Their abdominal fat level also dropped to the standard range, and significant positive changes were seen in their physical development score, visceral fat level, and basal metabolic rate.

Although it is possible to lose weight very rapidly in a short period, I don't recommend it. Building healthy habits is much more important for preventing the yo-yo effect.
